A video explaining why it is SO important to switch to a natural exfoliants — the ingredients in “micro-bead” exfoliating products are polluting our water systems! To help you make the switch, I am giving you not one but THREE easy DIY recipes for natural exfoliants.

Lemon & Sugar Facial Exfoliant:

Wet your face with warm water. Soak a cotton pad with lemon juice, sprinkle on sugar and use circular motion to rub it into your skin. Use warm water to wash it off. Quickly splash your face with cold water to close your pores, and then pat dry with a towel.

DIY Body Scrub:
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp poppy seeds
1/8 tsp spearmint essential oil
1/8 orange essential oil

Mix them all together! You can try using different combinations of essential oils to make other versions of this scrub. This scrub should be kept in an air-tight container and will harden if left unused for too long!

Quick One-Time Use Scrub
2 Tbsp Sugar
1 tsp Coconut Oil

Use your hands to mix them together. This will melt the oil into the sugar.
