My best friend Jess Hirst, the owner of Something Green Bridal Boutique in Guelph, Ontario, and I have combined forces to complete the 2015 #Dressember Challenge! We will be wearing a dress for all of December – 31 days!

We are participating in Dressember because we believe in everyday advocacy. We know that our voices matter, and that we can help change the world that millions of abused women and girls wake up to every morning. Join us in the fight for the restoration of dignity for all women! Plus, hopefully we can push ourselves and have a lot of fun doing it.

December is a cold month in Ontario, so this is definitely going to be a challenge! But, being uncomfortable isn’t necessarily a bad thing, especially because it will force us to think that much more about why we are doing this and how so many women are uncomfortable and hurting every day throughout the world due to the situations they are forced to live in. It will also help that we are best friends, so this will give us a reason to see each other a lot and be creative together!
